

Dr. Timothy N. Smith graduated first in his class from dental school and was selected to complete his residency training at the prestigious Harvard General Practice Residency. There he received post-doctoral certificates from both Harvard Dental School and Harvard Medical School.
He is currently on the faculty of both the Harvard Dental and Medical Schools as a member of the Institutional Review Board. The Board is in charge of overseeing both the approval and continual review of all human subject’s research at both schools. He also currently serves as a dental expert on the Medical Malpractice Tribunal of the Massachusetts Superior Court. This Tribunal is made up of a judge, a state appointed attorney, and a medical expert from all specialties. It determines if a lawsuit brought by a plaintiff has enough merit to go to trial.
Dr. Smith is also on the Faculty of the Fugazzotto Institute. He lectures on a variety of topics related to Dental Implants, with a large focus on Immediate Implant Therapy using a 3D printer. He is also currently involved in a research study related to Implants and Biomaterials. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and Massachusetts Dental Society.
When not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also enjoys skiing, hiking, and physical fitness activities.
